For the last thirty years, I’ve enjoyed watching one of my favorite shows, Tennessee Crossroads on PBS. Each episode features stories about the highways and byways of Tennessee, highlighting the personalities, crafts, places, foods and events that make Tennessee special and its character unique. I can safely say that many of the businesses featured on the show have inspired me and Nothing But Chips.
The following are seven of my personal favorites. Sit back, relax and enjoy learning about these Tennessee treasures.
Rustic River Creations
Rob Wilds visits a Chapel Hill family who re-purposes junk into beautiful and surprising pieces of furniture at Rustic River Creations.
Boothill Blades
Ken Wilshire visits a Clarksville couple who gave up the rat race to create Boothill Blades.
Metal Morphosis
Susan Watson meets a Franklin craftsman who created a giant factory worker out of scrap metal left behind when the Franklin factory closed.
Little Seed Farm
Tammi Arender visits a New York couple who have given up life in the big city for life on the farm, the Little Seed Farm.
Tennessee Barn Project
Joe Elmore spends the day with two brothers in Williamson County who recycle old barns into handcrafted furniture for the Tennessee Barn Project.
Rutherford County Blacksmiths Association

David Wright
